Chang Island (Chang, Ko-Chang) is Thailand ' s second largest island after Phuket. It is located in the Siamsk Bay, near the border with Cambodia; the distance to Bangkok is about 300 km. Chan Island is part of the Naval National Park. Coral reefs along the coast attract seafarers. Most of Chan Island is covered by jungle masking mountain rivers and waterfalls.
Compared to the islands of Phuket and Samui, Chan is a much more quiet and calm place of rest. Night life here is represented by only a few bars. Tourists can stop both in luxury hotels with high service levels and in simple wooden bungalows with no convenience. The main beaches are located on the west coast of Chan Island, where most hotels, shops, restaurants, bars and spa centers are located. There are no sand beaches on the eastern bank, and the tourism infrastructure of this part of the island has barely affected.
Best vacation time on Chan Island from November to February. From March to May, it is much hotter, and in June the rainy season begins until October. The rainiest month is August. It should also be borne in mind that the winter level of water is much higher than the summer when the beach sand strips on the island become very wide.

In the north-west of Chan Island, there was a small live beach Chung (Chang Noi) in Song Bay (Khlong Son), which has several expensive resorts. There's a beach south on the west coast. Hatsaykhaw (Hat Sai Khao, White Sand Beach), which is about 3 kilometres long. It's the most popular beach of the island where all evening and night entertainment is concentrated. There are stores, travel agencies, Internet café, div-centres, massage and tattoo parlors, many hotels of different price categories.
There's a small beach behind him. Hatkaimuk (Hat Kai Mook, Pearl Beach). It is worth noting that this is a stoney beach, and despite the sand of the hotels, it is not the best place for beach and recreation with children. However, it is possible to swim with a pipe and a mask at a nearby coral reef, and there are good hotels on the beach at moderate prices. The resort offers nice restaurants, a few bars, a diving store. The Hatchymuk is far from the main road, allowing for quiet and privacy.
