Serial Board Sizes
There are now many surf boards for both different rolling styles and different waves. We have asked the President of the Federation of Surfing of Russia, Sergei Rasivaeva, to shed light on this issue and to draw up a brief guide on their main types.
Sergei Rasivaev
Before we start talking about the surf boards, it must be noted that all the world has taken measures of their size in the futs. The larger the size and volume of the board, the easier the waves are on it.
Shortbord
Short boards for any waves. It's a five to seven-foot board. They may be very different in shape, shape and other characteristics. Typically, it's harder to ride on these boards, and it takes a lot of practice before you can catch up on that board. Despite this, the world is now the most popular species.
Fanbord
Medium-size boards, transitional in front of short or training. The size of the board is six to eight feet. Usually, they're driven by newcomers or very grown-ups who don't want to get into the waves. It's a board that can be rolled from almost the first days. Fanbards are best suited for small and rolling waves.
Longbord
Big boards between 8 and 13 feet, sometimes even bigger. It's probably the second polarity in the world. Type of boardwhich started in principle. Everyone who's good riding is either short or long. So you can see very cool surfers on the Longbord. These boards are better suited to small and moderately large waves. Although professionals can ride anything. The uniqueness of such boards is that they can be boldly started with newcomers.
Soft-top
Special study boards. These boards give students a safe surf ass. In fact, it's a Longbord, only with soft cover on top. Except for training, they're usually more for what they don't use. Although a lot of people are rolling like horses.
